Have a fault on my alarm system, doors won't lock, car beeps twice. This is covered under warranty isn't it?

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Hi, New style warranty probably yes. Old style warranty probably no. Silly question, but are you sure all doors, engine bay, bonnet and middle glove box are all closed? The car normally doesn't lock if it still thinks one of the doors are open. You can check this by seeing if the interior light remains on when you've shut the door. Cheers.
I thought it was just one beep when doors, etc were left open, but I have 2 beeps. Checked everything you said but it is still beeping twice. Electric windows and interior lights don't work. Just checked the warranty booklet (old warranty) and it says 'electric parts covered central locking, electric windows and alarm are covered. Looks like a trip to Porcsche but thanks anyway.
Ok, if the interior lights aren't coming on, this is a very common problem. I believe that it's one of the switches in the door panel (or could be the door surround). I've read the fix for this problem on this forum several times, so try and do a search, I'm sure it will come up. I'm 99% sure it is not covered by warranty, because it's a switch (deemed wear/tear) and not an electrical fault as such. From memory, I think it was about £250 all in for an OPC repair, but do the search for a more accurate estimate.
Hi, Have a look here: http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=34841&highlight=interior+light+lock http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=33617&highlight=interior+light+lock Cheers.
I had this and it is a control unit in the pasenger door apparently... £350 at OPC about this time last year I'm afraid...
Many thanks GD !
