Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi I am interested in the optional GT3 Aerokit rear bumper add on spoilers, the small ones about a foot long on ach side which go along the rear side Does anyone know what the correct term for these are, and what they actually do!? Debating fitting them WITHOUT the aerokit, saw one the other day like this on a cab that seemed to work ok.. Anyone else installed them? Kind Regards Edward

POST 2 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

These are them... Rear Spats or something I think there called

POST 3Original post

I asked a salesman at reading OPC and he referred to them as spats but had no idea what they actually acheived :?: TB

POST 4Original post

They are called 'GT Trims' and I have them on my car... Have seen them referred to as 'bum-flaps' elsewhere, but I strongly suspect you won't find that description in the parts catalogue! :floor:

POST 5Original post

Also strongly suspect they have no practical function - as they are not fitted as standard on Mk1 GT3.

POST 7Original post

mine has those....10mph faster without doubt....  always known them to be called spats

POST 8 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thnaks Guys for your assisatnce, "GT Trims" seems to be the name! c: unfortunately if you search for that it comes up with hundreds of unrelated things! There must be replicas somewhere! Think they look quite cool with or without the full Aerokit. Personal opinion of course, others will think they look rank! Kind Regards Edward

POST 9Original post

I found them in the Tequipment section of the PET as parts from the Cup Aerokit. Porsche have really used their imagination in the description of this part, as it is called a "Cover, rear". £111+VAT each, BTW. :floor:

POST 10Original post

OK, Just checked with the accessories booklet and they are called 'GT SIDE TRIMS' to be completely accurate...

POST 11Original post

That's the difference between the marketing department and the engineers.

POST 12Original post

i have these on mine, all the crap gets ropund the back of them but they do look cool

POST 14 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Anyone know of anyone who makes replica's of them? Since they add nothing to the performance I dont mind buying replicas. Do they just adhesive on? Quite keen to just add them first and maybe Aerokit later Edward

POST 15Original post

think they will bolt on, dont think they would stay on long with adhesive
