Hi, after spending the best part of a year listening to what sounded like a coin rattling around under the passenger seat the time has come to get it sorted, as the seat no longer moves to the back of its runners something is stopping it. Anyone know how to remove the seats ? The seats have manual adjustment forward/backward and electric everything everything else. Ta

Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Just unclip the plastic covers at each end of the runners and you'll see a torx star bolt at each end. You need an E12 star torx socket. Slide the seat back and undo the front bolts, then slide it forward and undo the rear ones. Once you've got the bolts out, tilt the whole seat back, and there is a large plug connecting the seat to the loom. There is a sort of slide on the plug, which separates the plug from the socket. Difficult to describe, easy to do. Takes about 10 minutes, but watch your back - they are bl**dy heavy.
