Installing belt tensioner
NOTE:

The belt tensioner may only be installed with the ground terminal of the vehicle battery disconnected.
-
The vehicle battery may only be re-connected after the re-installation of the belt has been completed.

1. Install belt tensioner. Observe the direction of travel

2. Screw fastening screw

, tightening torque
50 Nm (37 ftlb.)

3. Insert electrical plug

in the belt tensioner.
4. Push in fuse

with e.g. a screwdriver in the
-direction of travel-
until the fuse engages.
5. By gently pulling on the belt
-arrow 1-
, check the winding ability of the belt strap.
6. Read out the fault memory with the Porsche System Tester.
