Perform a function test. Also test the alarm system by closing all windows, doors, and lids. Then lock the vehicle with the radio remote control or vehicle key. - If the alarm horn beeps, one or more alarm inputs are activated. Unlock the vehicle. Use the Porsche System Tester 2 (PST2) to check the fault memory and input signals of the alarm control unit to locate the problem. After correcting the problem go to step 13 - If there is no sound from the alarm horn, the system is OK. Unlock the vehicle and continue with the next step 13. Input the 4-digit PCM code. 14. Erase the DME fault memory using the PST2. There may be a "Supply voltage interrupted" fault stored in the DME. Shut down and disconnect the PST2.
