Page 1 General Module: Description and Operation Instrument Cluster Diagnosis - System K22, K23, K27 Speedometer A A speed can be simulated under this menu item to check the function of dynamic volume control (speed-dependent volume). If the function of the dynamic volume is switched on and the speed is simulated by means of the Porsche System Tester II No. 9588, the volume must change according to the speed. The higher the simulated speed, the higher the volume. Navigation Control Module Function Drive Links Drive links of the navigation module can be activated with this menu item. This allows the function of the drive links to be assessed very quickly. The following drive links can be activated with the 9588 Porsche System Tester II: - Count CD sectors - GPS position - Wheel pulse counter - Self-test - Set default values NOTE: The activated drive link is switched off automatically after approximately 20 seconds. PCM Diagnosis Identification The part numbers for the display and operator control unit and for the navigation unit can be read out with menu item Identification. PCM2 Gateway Control Module Function Drive Links Drive links of the PCM2 can be activated with this menu item. This allows the function of the drive links to be assessed very quickly. The following drive links can be activated with the 9588 Porsche System Tester II: - Left balance. - Central balance. - Right balance. - Bass - maximum value. - Bass - minimum value. - Bass - centre position. - Rear fader. - Middle fader. - Front fader. - MOST power reduction. - MOST switch. - Mute. - MOST bus switch. - Output switch. - Treble - minimum value. - Treble - centre position. - Treble - maximum value. - Volume - maximum value. - Volume - minimum value. - Volume - centre position. NOTE: The activated drive link is automatically switched off after approximately 20 seconds. CAN Comfort CAN Comfort Communication between the 9588 Porsche System Tester II and the MOST control modules only takes place via the K lead to the instrument cluster.
