This helps to eliminate persistent vacuum leaks from this area. Simply lubricate the o-ring and slide onto your resonance tube and it’s fixed. Prevent unmetered, unfiltered air from getting into your intake. At this point, every Porsche needs one of these (exception is the 986 2.5 Boxster, which doesn’t have a resonator tube). Vacuum leaks lead to enrichment that will wash down your cylinder bores, further contributing to cylinder bore scoring.
