Installation Note
1. Insert new sealing ring using special Check whether there are foreign objects
tool 9610 (insertion tool): in the drive belt grooves of the pulley.
a. Place assembly sleeve on crankshaftjournal. 3. Tighten hexagon-headbolt using the socket
wrench insert 9594; simultaneouslyhold
b. Thoroughlylubricate the crankshaft journal, with retaining device 9593.
assemblysleeve and sealing lip.
Tightening sequence:
Note
Do not lubricate outer diameter of sealing ring; Initial tightening 50 Nm (37 ftlb.
it must be fitted dry. Final tightening 1 x 900 turn
c. Position sealing ring by hand and push off the
assemblysleeve onto the crankshaftjournal.

d. Removeassemblysleeve,
e. Position hexagon-headbolt (M16 x 1.5 x 60)
and outer part of special tool and insert
sealing ring as far as it will go.
2. Fit belt pulley.
