DME 7.8 DME 7.80 Work instruction Display OK If not OK 3 Check wiring from DME ♦Connect special tool 9637 to 0 - 5 Ω Repair wiring har- control module to temper- wiring harness (DME control ⇒ Step 4 ness ature sensor for continu- module plug) → End ity ♦Remove plug of temperature sensor ♦Measure resistance between special tool 9637 Pin III/17 and temperature sensor plug con- nection Pin 4 ♦Measure resistance between special tool 9637 Pin III/22 and temperature sensor plug con- nection Pin 1 4 Check wiring from DME ♦Connect special tool 9637 to Approx. 5 V Repair wiring har- control module for short wiring harness (DME control ⇒ Step 5 ness to B+ module plug) → End ♦Remove plug of temperature sensor ♦Measure voltage between Pin III/ 22 and ground ♦Switch on the ignition 5 Replace DME control module ⇒ Step 6 → End 6 Perform adaptation ♦Switch on the ignition → End → End ♦Wait one minute.
