Coverage and how to read this overview
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.
26 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

We are very [/quote]pleased with this system. The sound is intoxicating! We have spent many hours in R&D and logged hundreds of miles on the both the dyno and street. We feel we have found a tone that will be appreciated by the masses. Highway cruising is extremely comfortable and not overpowering. However at WOT the cars sounds downright angry! /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/regular_smile.gif
Constructed of TIG welded 14 and 16 gauge T304 and T321 stainless steel, and polished to a mirror shine. As with all of our exhausts, each is warrantied for life and carries a 30 day money back guarantee.

I do not have any pictures. I'm guessing you want to know if the mufflers hang below the bumper?
If the car is on a lift and at eye level. the mufflers do hang below about a 1/2'. If the car is on the ground, you would have to stand about 15ft back to see anything. Even then they are mostly hidden. You see just the very bottom.
Hope this helps.
Mike,
On another exhaust I tried the flanges were too thick for the nut to completely screw on to the stud. You have to have at least one thread showing . From the pictures I see that your flange is also pretty thick. How do you take care of this problem? Can we see some pictures of the flanges with the exhaust mounted?
David
If a stock muffler could be bolted to their headers, than our system will work with them as well. For the record, we looked at the available space and don't feel there is enough room to make a true equal length header that would meet our standards.
Appears to be a nice and clean fit higher into the undercarriage. Looks much better than stock thats for sure!/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/thumbs_up.gif
Was there a Group Buy on this system? Wondering how it compare to the Tubi, Milltek & Fabspeed systems. Looking at the twin exhaust tube coming out from the muffler, the stock or optional round Porsche tips likely will not bolt on. (As they are single tube split into two outlets.)

Mike.
Thanks for all the info on the exhaust and extra pics. It looks like it came out really nice. I can't wait to hear one, and see how it performs.
Since you guys do a lot of chip tuning in house, .. if you get a spare moment could you check this tread and maybe offer some input from AWE's experience....if you feel its appropriate.

Mike,
If one wanted to keep the OEM tip, does it have to be welded on to the AWE system or is it a bolt-on fit?
Thanks
Dave

The entire system is all bolt on. No cutting or welding needed. Yes,OEM tipsbolt on as well.

Yes I want to ask the same question. Does this fit your exhaust? And would I have problems fitting your exhaust to a RHD car?

I still can't see it? As the OEM muffler has only one pipe coming out through the center ( where you bolt your Porsche tips, the tips again is 1 pipe going to the muffler then split into 2 outlets) & the AWE has 2 pipes coming out from the muffler to 2 tips. Only way to use the OEM is make a single pipe coming from the AWE muffler. Am i correct Silent Will?
ploc36,
No, your stock tip
assembly
is reused when you opt out of getting the AWE tips. The stock tip assembly includes the 2-into-1 transition AND the aesthetic tip. The optional AWE tip replaces
both
of these pieces. The Porsche Tecquipment tip is only the latter piece.
The AWE optional tip should actually be installed on the stock mufflers and replaces the stock tip assembly. At least it looks like it should.

Yes, pardon my terminology.
Our muffler can reuse the entire OEM tip assembly. There is a slip joint at the exit of each muffler where the tip assembly attaches.
Regarding the group buys.
AWE Tuning has a worldwide dealer network with over 500 jobber accounts. Someeven investedin significant buy-ins to be a dealer of ours. With us running a group buy we arerisking their chances to make a sale with a potentialclient.
Some may argue and ask us why we still sell direct. Unfortunately we are not at the point yet. It'sa tight rope act, but for now it is the best we can do.
So with respect to our dealers we do not do group buys.
