Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I have had the Milltek and will have an AWE for testing shortly and I'm working with Kenny on an article on the Fabspeed.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

11 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

Starting to do my research on exhaust system changeout. I have searched the site for a comparison of the various systems but have not found one as yet. What is the consensous on the best cat back system on the market that has been developed to date? Thanks for the info.

POST 2Original post

I seriously doubt you will see no consensus simply because the car is too new. While there are vendors advertising on this forum, there is no comprehensive evaluation study that I know of and it would seem, some companies may still be designing them For example, I see no Borla Catback yet.

POST 3Original post

I have had the Milltek and will have an AWE for testing shortly and I'm working with Kenny on an article on the Fabspeed. Each of them sounds different, each of them produces different HP results, and each of them looks different. It all depends on what you want as to what is 'best' for you.

POST 4Original post

I am looking for an exhaust that is loud and produces good gains. I am currently leaning toward the AWE because of things I have heard on the board and the enormous low end torque gains on their site. K-Man S, can you give us your opinion of the Milltek vs the Fabspeed?

POST 5Original post

I am still waiting to drive the Fabspeed that is local to me but haven't heard back from its owner. I also want to get it on the dyno the same time my car is on the dyno for comparison. The sound between the two is different, but hard to describe without some sound clips, again, another reason to get the two cars together at the same time.

POST 6Original post

It would be beneficial to everyone to have some kind of chart or spreadsheet so everyone could see at a glance the price, claimed or actual WHP gain, sound bites, etc. It would make comparison shopping so much easier. Looking forward to your results!

POST 7Original post

In theory the gain should be similar given that they all basically get rid of the second set of cats to reduce back pressure. As an unrelated question, I heard that cat units contain platinum, so I should try to sell them and not simply throw them away, is that true?

POST 8Original post

True cat backs do not get rid of the secondary cats ... hence the name CAT Back. At least that is true for every cat back I've seen on most cars ... However, I see Fabspeed does eliminate them but AWE doesnt seem to mention it?

POST 9Original post

The AWE cat back also deletes the 2nd set of cats. I think in this case the exhaust is a 'cat back' from the first set of cats that are built into the exhaust manis.

POST 10Original post

Is there any Porsche catback that does not get rid of the seconday CATs (other than, I presume, the PSE?). Will this cause the car to throw codes or fail emission testing?

POST 11Original post

Is there anyone who has heard a TUBI exhaust? It sounds AWESOME!!! They do not make BIG HP gains (4-6 WHP) but man what a sound.....
