Read evidence and context

Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

As per post why does the oil pressure drop to zero, then it shows again for most of the time no problem ? very rarely does this and is okay most of the time, are there any known problems (faulty senders) ? 53 996 Carrera 4

POST 2Original post

Yes, the senders are renowned for packing up - mine did at 12k miles. If your problem is intermittent it might be a dodgy connection, maybe on top of the sender itself? I ended up replacing mine but I have to say that I was never convinced that it could have been the sender itself as it was so young. I would check your connection on top of the sender first. Sounds like you might have been experiencing this for some time - so I would say that this would point more towards it being the connection rather than the sender unit itself.
