Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Everyone, My hood on my Boxster S has just broken. I went to lower the hood and heard two bangs as i did so!! On further investigation i have discovered that the two plastic ball joint connecters have snapped off the threaded connection bars. I have purchased some new ones but struggling to fit them. Any advice gratefully received. Alternatively if you know of anyone that specialises in these hood in Wiltshire Hampshire or Dorset, please send there details as wish to get this fixed asap! Thanks in advance

Not sure about your area but these guys are specialists and have a good reputation. https://caymanautos.co.uk/convertible-roof-repairs... A word of caution. If both sides have broken I would look for another fault rather than just replace the joints.
