Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Here is an interesting paint job, and a few nice body mods. Does anyone know anything else about this car?
Sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find if these pics were already posted.

'Cayman Daytona' not the standard euro bumper...note the exhaust..
Wow, I must say that I do like the look of this CS. I would love to have that rear bumper, but I will keep my Basalt Blk. paint /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/shades_smile.gif
Please, somebody give Ken the info soon!!!

Ha! I would die if I ever saw a primer-onlyCS on the road and not at a shop ;-)
Now, with regards to the
legality
of changing the bumper....?

but your insurance company might in response to collision damage and injury.... they could potentially seek to partially deny your claim IF the bumperettes are required by nhtsa. but the chances are slim at best...

dont get me wrong, yellow is my fave color, but somehow it doesnt blend in cayman S. i do like 997 in yellow though and yellow ferrari (especially the F355)

Rear looks decent. Certainly makes the car look wider for sure. I like the quad pipes.
Color is way too bright.
Porsche
has one like this with more red and brown in it and it looks freakin' amazing. It is a custom and it was on a 997S at my dealer. One of the best 'bright' colors I have seen so far.
To each his/her own! There are a few colors that I do not like the CS
in,
but the CS is beautiful to me regardless of color...except pea-soup green or bile brown /fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/naughty.gif

Rinspeed Imola Riffs on the Porsche Cayman

Date posted: 09-25-2006
ZUMIKON, Switzerland — Frank Rinderknecht definitely has a different view of the world. The Swiss coachbuilder's zany creations always enliven the annual Geneva Motor Show without ever threatening to encroach on reality.
So Rinspeed's latest effort, the
Porsche Cayman
-based Imola, took us a little by surprise — it actually looks buildable and streetable. Once you get past the wacky orange paint scheme, the details are fairly simple.
Rinspeed adds an aero kit that transforms the Cayman into something of a 911 look-alike. A front skirt integrates parking lamps and air intakes, while the rear skirt features a diffuser insert that accommodates either center or dual exhaust systems. The firm also offers a stainless steel exhaust system with special headers and metal catalysts.
Rinspeed lowers the Cayman's suspension by 1.0 inch and offers an optional adjustable coil-over kit. Five-spoke alloy wheels are shod with 20-inch performance tires.
The cabin is dressed up in aluminum trim, with velour floor mats.
For more information, see the
Rinspeed Web site
.
What this means to you:
The Rinspeed Imola is one of the more sedate offerings we've seen from the Swiss tuning house.

The Swiss Porschetuner Rinspeed transforms the Porsche Cayman also optically in an morebitingly reptile. The effect-orange color paint exclusivelymixedby the German paint manufacturer Lesonal lets the ducked reptileappear to be even more aggressive and dynamic.
The already outstanding road performance is joined by a sophisticated aerodynamic package which doesn't leave any wish unfulfilled. Rinspeed has modified the Cayman characteristics with a low front skirt which takes design clues from the Indy look which was introduces for the 997 model series. The big carbon air intakeswith the integrated parking lightsremind of the current 997 Turbo model.New side skirts let the power house from Stuttgart appear lowered and sleeker. The complete rear skirt features a carbondifusor insert. Special attention was given to the exchangeable rear skirt inserts which allow eithercenter or a dual exhaust systems. Headers, metal catalytic converters and stainless steel exhaust systems round up the excitingprogram.
The contact to the road is taken care by the wellestablished five spoke aluminum wheels C5/1 in the format of 8.5 x 20' with tires of the dimension 235/30-20 at the front axle and 11 x 20' with tires 305/25-20 at the rear. The suspension is lowered by 25mm by an especially laid out and engineered suspension kit which is adapted to the serial PASM system. Four way adjustable coil over suspension kitsare also available.
