Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

7 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

  • Rennlist: 1 discussions

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have a small area of rust right next to the door kick trim on my targa. I am hoping its where someone has tried to remove the targa trim when respraying around that area as there is no other reason for rust to be there. I thought i would remove the trim and it is stuck solid i cannot even get a finger nail under the edge. Are they glued ? cannot see screws

POST 2Original post

Run fishing line underneath and carefully pull up. It's adhesive

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks DB Joe i will give it a try :-)

POST 4Original post

If you have a heat gun or a hair-dryer, carefully apply heat to soften the adhesive and then use the fishing line as suggested by Joe. Let us know how that will go for you... Good-luck!

POST 5Original post

+1 for fishing line. the heat will speed things up considerably.

POST 6Original post

Agree, it's just held on with adhesive. Mine fell off on it's own. And I resecured with double sided tape.

POST 7Original post

And a little WD-40 on the fishing line will cut like butter
