Hi guys, hoping someone can help. 2002 996.2 c2 no fault codes. New coils, spark plugs, injectors, fuel pump, fuel regulator, crank and cam sensors. Still won't start. Compression cold is 125psi, 10% difference between cyl. Injectors seem to be working can smell fuel and fuel rail has pressure. Fuel pump is working, all fuses and relays checked and ok. Tested spark by pulling plug and grounding it. Sparks very slow. Like one spark every 1.5 seconds. Ecu looks good nothing burnt out. Tacho moves to 1000 when cranking. I'm ready to try anything. The motor did start before. But after revving it a little it just stopped. Secondhand motor installed. Bought car without motor. Old motor low comp.

Put new plugs in and try it. Don't bother trying to dry them out. Chances are they are wet and will not just dry out with turning over. Once plugs are fouled a car usually will NOT start. I have had many cars recovered to the garage with starting issues. First thing I would do us change the plugs and the car would nearly always start and run. It's very difficult to diagnose something on a forum. When it started and ran then stopped it's sounds like it was running on its prime. First things first. Change the plugs. If you can smell fuel from constant cranking the plugs are probably fouled and it will not fire. It's what I would do then work from there.
