Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

I've just been looking at an old Evo test of the .1 GT3 in Zanzibar.

I'm after a few ideas and opinions on colour choice for my 996.1 aero. I'm well through a restoration of sorts and will need a lot of paint so I'm just going to bite the bullet and go for a change. The car is midnight blue and I've never really liked it. Nice on brightest of sunny days but dull the rest of the time. I did do a lot of paint correction but was still never happy. It also still has the ambers so that may sway a decision as I've no intention of changing them. I'd like clear lights but don't want to pay for them :floor:
The car will have a few choice mods but basically will look like a standard aero/gt3. Only really lowered and 15mm spacers.
I think being an aero car, I can get away with bolder colour choices.
Some of the ideas at the minute are
Viper or signal green
Subaru p1 blue
White with green accents like a 996 gt3rs. Wheels and decals. Not sure how that will go on a 996.1 but the weel centres would be painted to match.
Yellows always high on the list.
Not worried about using a non porsche colour as my cars cat d so the value is only to me. I like bright colours and want something different.
There is also a possibility that I'll have to paint it myself due to budget and I'm thinking flat colours rather than metallic, as it should be easier to apply.
I have painted the engine bay white as a neutral colour when sorting out the chassis work. It had to be painted after the metal work was finished so I went for simple white.
This is all recorded on my instagram as part of the ongoing history.
Any ideas for something different would be great. Pictures of similar projects would be fantastic. I'm not at the paint stage yet but I'm nearly there.
Yes but that's a 99.2. I think it makes all the difference. Different headlights and wheels. But, I think gold wheels with the barrels kept silver and silver studs
I like the idea of the green. It looks fantastic on 964's but any 996's I've seen are a bit odd or just badly done. If the yellow works so well, why can't the green?
It would look better on a .1 with the ambers, IMHO as it's quite a retro colour.
I've just been looking at an old Evo test of the .1 GT3 in Zanzibar. That looks smashing.
