Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.
Discussions that suspect a cause
1
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suspected cause
That's what I was going to ask because it's probably the cause for confusion.
0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I did a full suspension refresh on my C4S earlier this year, design 911 was the cheapest place I could find if you are buying the set compared to anyone else even with discounts and for 10% off design911 use code:
Leading evidence: 'cause' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, the most frequently mentioned possible cause is 'cause' (1 discussions; 0 report identifying it and 1 suggest it). The most frequently discussed action is 'Set compared' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I'm looking to refresh all the standard originalshock absorbers on my 2003 C4s, do we know if there are any good deals out in the market place for replacement shocks - bilstein b4 I believe. Car is a non M3030 version
Thanks
Rich
Price them up on Autodoc and add them all to your basket. Keep an eye on your basket on a daily basis as they have 24hr flash sales, etc. The basket auto updates when price changes. My lad wanted two rear Bilstein shocks for his 650i. Priced at £130 each, bagged them for £91 each on Tuesday.

I checked the part numbers with bilstein directly when I did mine and cross referenced the C4S OEM shock number with them, the M030 equivalent as you see in the link below is the correct ones for our cars.

Also, not sure if you have already checked but it's best too assuming your front top mounts probably need replacing if not done recently, 996 ones are inherently flawed and I've had OEM ones fail after 20k miles. 997 ones for C4/C4S fit fine on 996 C4/C4S but with a newer rubber casting so they don't fall apart as quickly.

I respect your comments and advice but an a tad confused.
The recommended set you propose are M030 applicable and you quote are correct for a std oem replacement, my confusion manifests in that I have spoken with design 911 , and against my chassis number , oem non m030 , I am advised the replacement kit is not as you refer but the kit stated Non M030
I'm keen to purchase the correct item as I'm sure you understand and you look to have done your research.. unsure which to buy
I am also appreciative of the heads up on to mounts etc
Are they definitely in need of a refresh? Center Gravity tested mine at 120k miles and they were working well within parameters.
Arent all 4Ss M030, on the basis they have 10mm lower sports suspension? I know in the original UK price list the M030 option box was marked as standard...
That's what I was going to ask because it's probably the cause for confusion.
Was M030 actually an option on the C4S, because they were 10mm lower as standard?
So depending on how you look at it, they either all have M030 as they're all 10mm lower, or M030 wasn't an option on the C4S (as they already had a 10mm drop). IIRC the US cars were 10mm higher so maybe it was only an 'option" over there.
This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
