Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

us ride = from the pic (the one pic) the car looks to be riding on US Stock suspension based on that angle and that pic - so I suspect it is (you can check) - looks like a 4x4 in the front, that is a very soft and floaty (read boring) suspension

as for the car - I miss read what you meant about the previous owner - in any case you know the drill...inspect the crap out of it, get a PPI and use the PPI to either negotiate a better price or get things repaired before the purchase - use your own shop, not one they suggest - and IMO try a couple other cars...you had this exact same one, maybe find something on the other end of the spectrum - more color, more mods...

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Doesn't look like it's seen allot of service (oil changes ect.) Shows one accident that the dealer, when I say the dealer this is the actual owner of the place that just got out of his ferrarri 599, says was a minor brush small tree in the driveway kind of thing.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Many of you have seen pics of my smashed car. Below is a pic of the replacement I hope to land. 04 c2 33000miles car sold by dealer when 1 year old. Says he knows the previous owner. Looks and sounds great. A bit of a stripper in that it doesn't have my leather seats with electric adjust. But like new feeling inside. Doesn't look like it's seen allot of service (oil changes ect.) Shows one accident that the dealer, when I say the dealer this is the actual owner of the place that just got out of his ferrarri 599, says was a minor brush small tree in the driveway kind of thing. Still waiting to find out if my car is totaled.
maybe just a snide remark but people that buy and sell cars dont often care much about them as "there will always be another one"
doesnt mean they abuse them, just dont take them to heart or get attached...let the lot boy wash it and go fill it up so he gets a thrill...kinda thinking
US spec ride height is real floaty -
might be a great deal...dont rush in on the rebound
This fish is clean. And looks just like my car. (perfect clean headlights.)
stop posting those crash pics - it HURTS!
That is the absolute last crash pic. I'm over it but I hate that I'm scared of corners now. I never know when that bang will come.

It didn't belong to the dealership owner, he was driving a Ferrari 599. Someone into aviation had it and didn't drive it much.

I don't know what you mean.
LOL @ Pete

scared of corners - YEA its only been 4 days!!!

I have a good feeling about this car. It's very unmolested. And I figure if I can get into this fine car real quick all this b.s. will go away. I know I'm being hasty but I believe in fate. What I really want of course is to have my beautiful car back and whole. I'd settle for that in a minute.
I'm not married but if I was and very happy and she was lost I might look for the same kind of wife.
OP - Listen to the veterans here. They mean well.
BUT you are the one who will make the final decision. I know you cannot wait to get back to another 996 and I totally hear you. Just do your homework. Get the insurance stuff settled first. Get the finances ready (unless you are well off) and THEN after you have calmed down and can think straight you make a deal.
And agree with PETE. Usually after a divorce or a break up the next one is just a rebound
(love that metaphor)
Oh, agree on suspension - is kinda high. I have the ROW M030 (lower) and still want to go lower !!! (still have my PSS9s sitting on my garage waiting to be install... sighhh)
YOU HAVE PSS9's and have not put them on !!
4 hours tops!!!
get align and corner balance and wonder what the h&ll you waited for!!!!
(BTW I have a complete exhaust set up in my garage for my car)
Yes I know ... A friend was going to help me out plus me being busy at work and the new baby.
I have been piling up parts on the garage you have no idea!!! Good thing wife has not been lurking too much on the garage
hey, that baby aint "new" anymore...put a wrench, a light or a beer in its little hand and get some work coming your way from all you put in !!!
(you know I am kidding)
but yea, 4 hours TOPS! - unless the beer starts to flow after the 20 minute mark, then add 3 hours
Wait a minute...a few hours ago you want a car that looks like your trashed car. Now you vont dis one? My heading is spinning...but black is beu-tiful!
Your preaching to the converted. It's such a nice understated car. I'll break into my fathers house and steal the money. (just kidding)
I just have to find fourty thousand dollars somewhere. That shouldn't be to hard even for a poor person like me. It can be done, Jon
this is what I must say.
Am I pinballing? Please let me know if I'm pinballing. My wife doesn't care if I buy it. Neither do my kids. Oh wait a minute, I'm not married and have 0 kids.
How else would little old boat spraypainter me afford one?
Me too, but I hope not too far in the future.
There's no need to. I've found the black 911 I've always dreamed about.
The getting to own it part is a matter of details, granted some rather important details, like if my 996 is to be totaled or not.
My biggest fear is that they total it and give me just enough to cover my note.
that would suck.
