Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I have some smallish grooves in my back rotors and I was considering replacing them soon. I went to Rock Auto and found some stock looking rotors for $25. Is this for real? Have any of you guys tried these rotors? Truthfully the price sort of scares me. Cheap Rotors at Rock Auto Click Here

POST 2Original post

If you only drive on the street they will probably be fine, if do a track day they might crack worse that the Porsche OEM rotors.

POST 3Original post

They're Chinese. They are making discs and selling them under lots of different brand names. Check the origin of any discs you buy. You may be paying a higher price for the same discs. Shipping is going to bite you too. Are they as good as the German ones? I bought some cheap ones like this for my BMW racecar and they were OK. They seemed to wear out faster than the good German ones but the cracking wasn't any worse. Is this a case of you get what you pay for or a good deal? Dunno. At least there is no Porsche Tax. and they are cheap enough to throw away if you don't like them.

POST 4Original post

Yeah I suspected this too. I am extremely interested in avoiding any Chinese made products.
