I'm not trying here to spread a rumor or fool anyone, I'm here instead inquiring to make sense of what I heard. And I'd appreciate your help.
An executive manager at the local dealer here was on an official visit to Porsche in Germany was told about three limited edition 911 due next year. He couldn't reveal the models since he signed a confidentiality agreement. But he said one of which is never seen before derived from a Panamera model.
The Panamera comes in non-S, S, 4S, GTS, turbo, turbo S, Diesel and Hybrid. All are available on the 911 except the Diesel and Hybrid. The Diesel doesn't make sense for a sports car, so my guess it's a Hybrid.
So my guess:
1)) GT2 RS
2)) 911 hybrid (derived from the Panamera), which I'm still not convinced for a 991 generation to be true.
3)) what's the 3rd limited edition? GT2? GT3 RS? Speedster? Or the usual Black Edition nonsense model?
Of course there's a chance that the guy is lying, misunderstood or ignorant. But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt here and trying to guess what could it be. What do you think guys?
I would say GT2 before GT2 RS, the RS model is never first. I don't know why a hybrid would be a limited edition so what about a 911 RS to follow on from the R? You could always stack versions like a Turbo Targa S or something of that nature.
If you were going to derive a 911 from the Panamera what about the long rumored V8 911? That would be more worthy of a limited edition than a hybrid in my opinion. No one thinks of a hybrid as limited, a Prius isn't limited, even Panamera and Cayenne hybrids aren't limited...
Just some speculation on my part...

991 Speedster has been long rumoured, 3 years, 550 numbered cars
New Porsche 911 Speedster reportedly in the works | Autoweek
For two years or so the GT2RS was discussed jumping over the GT2. No need for a GT2, there is no racing series.
2018 Porsche 911 GT2 RS | car review @ Top Speed
991R was a reaction to the GT3 PDK-S pushback. People still hated the lack of MT. Lots of people hate the lame rear wing. To flashy and nobody uses such a wing on the street. They wanted a GT3 with back seat and MT. Not sure where that would head.
Not sure nor have read about any other 991 special model. Hybrid is not special. Thats given and coming. Dunno about 3. Silly black edition, GTS, or Porsche exclusive models are standard stuff. Maybe they would do a X51 package (non-GTS) like the 50th Ann car but there is nothing Ie.know special to commemorate.
A GTS is the only potentially new one that I might be interested in, for the next model year. And even for that one, I would have to wait for a leftover previous model year or demo or a used CPO. My "frugal" mindset and retirement budget limitations are limiting factors here... First year depreciation is brutal, and I do not want to pay that.
1. GT2
2. Speedster
3. 911 variant from Panamera: a super fancy limited "Executive" 911 or Platinum 911.
My best guess from the information you provided.
Sure would like a Panamera Shooting Brake but that's not a 911!-Richard
GT2
Speedster
Panny-based "wagon" (calling it a 911 would be a major marketing challenge)
Hybrids will be available across the entire model range in the next few years, so nothing special about 'em.
I like Black Editions...I'm a little miffed though that the last ones were base, not S versions.
