Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Like many have said, it just doesn't feel like a 20 years old car and with the new Falken's I had fitted last week it drives amazingly well.

I've been back from holiday a week, washed it, done one or two cobweb removing gentle drives and then today I took it out on roads I know well.
I wasn't maximising the grip limits or spitting off the rev limiter, I was just driving at a nice Porsche pace, windows down and aircon on (I know, the outrage), practicing my toe and healing. It struck me how much I love it. The sound of a flat 6, the way the car bobs over the surface, the feedback and confidence it gives to the driver.
On route to watch the F1, with the family as is tradition, in the sunshine and the car just felt the perfect place to be. What a machine.
Have to agree with you just spent a week in North Wales with mine and covered over a 1000 miles in the car.
It's hard to believe that it's a 20 year old car (admittedly with a complete suspension overhaul) but it just hugs the road and inspires such confidence in its abilities.
The one fault I thought it had was the uncomfortable tomb stone seats but after spending so much time in it I realised it was me that wasn't tough enough and now my bodies become used to them I find them fine even after a 5 hour blast.
...this morning during a morning drive across Dartmoor...after 6 weeks of it sitting in the garage following a lovely week in the Cotswolds where it didn't miss a beat...
...truly wonderful cars...
I had a 5 year affair with my 996s and still remember them fondly.

The only motoring days that have bettered them have been had in my 997.
Every day. My 996 is my daily and makes going to work and driving home a pleasure. The sound and feel, the whole tactile nature of the car. It's an occasion just to sit in it with the engine running. I even love the way the passenger seat back vibrates on tick over. Pure automotive emotion.
For me I'm still in the honeymoon period and after 1 month of ownership I still look out the kitchen window and think 'Damn, that's a nice looking car'
I took a drive up to North Wales (200 mile round trip) last week to hand some spare keys over to some builders and enjoyed every second of the drive. Like many have said, it just doesn't feel like a 20 years old car and with the new Falken's I had fitted last week it drives amazingly well.
I've just fitted new wheels and tyres and yes I know it's a bit sad but excited getting in the car after work to see how it handles slightly differently on the new rubber with a slight tracking change and a few tweaks on the suspension. It's the car/hobby that keeps me entertained every day. Most days I spend most of the day planning my next mod (way to spend money) on the 996. Which wing? Which exhaust next......some paintwork?? Or sod it, some ohlins/kw/nitron suspension. A supercharger to go on the Hartech 3.9 conversation etc etc etc
Anyway, you get the gist. I love my 996. It just keeps making me smile.
