Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

There is a low mileage 2007 base Carrera for sale. However, it has the 19" Carrera S wheels without the PASM. The vehicle is located several states away. I would use the car as a daily driver. Should I just pass on it because the ride will simply be too rough? Thanks for the input.

POST 2Original post

No, you should get it (provided that's what you want and everything else checks out). Lots of cars have 19" wheels without PASM.

POST 4Original post

I have 19s and no PSAM and while the ride is a little rough, it's certainly far from intolerable. And it is a sports car after all. I fail to understand any of the "rough ride" complaints. If I was concerned about the ride I wouldn't drive a sports car. I'd go back to my Jaguar sedan roots and stay there.

POST 6Original post

I own a CS with 19" Carrera wheels without PASM ... maybe the roads are rougher where I live than other places but I'll never own another pcar without PASM, no matter what size wheels.

POST 7Original post

Yeah. That's saying a lot. This 997 coupe I was thinking of-the guy spent a fortune on ornamental, useless options that jacked up the price by around $5000. Yet he spends for the 19" Carrera S wheels but doesn't order the extremely important PASM. I talked to the dealer and he told me the guy who owned it was "old". I guessed that already!

POST 8Original post

2007 with 19" and no PSAM. Everyday driver. NO problem at all.

POST 10Original post

I have 19"s on a 987 without PASM. They're tolerable on crappy CA roads, and my back ain't too great.
