Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.

Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

Anyone know how the 14-way Cayman seats compare to the 996 comfort seats in terms of weight? The only comparison feedback Ive seen is that they are more comfortable. Nothing on weight.
Second question: are the standard 997 seats an upgrade from the 996 comfort seats in terms of weight and comfort? They look very similar in pics to me. Hard to tell if they are any wider in the lat region. The comfort seats are a little too narrow for me as is, so no way I can do the 996 Sport seats.
OP - A lot to unpack with what you ask. What seats are you using now? 14-way wiring will require some serious crafting, so a lot depends on your present seat configuration. I find every 997 seat more comfy than 996 couches. The 997 bottom cushion is superior. These weights should be close: 997/987 14-way seat 62 lbs, 997/987 basic 2-way sport seat 43 lbs, 997 comfort 48-51 lbs. I’m 6’ 4”/220 lbs with wide shoulders and love, love, love the 997 2-way sport seat.
14-way seat is going to weigh a lot more than a standard seat without all the power features and attendant motors/gears/levers. I was looking at 987 seats as an upgrade for my 996 comfort seats because they're not 911 parts and the prices tend to be a bit better. For me, sitting in the seat is the only way to be sure about how it is going to fit ME.
