Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

4 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi Guys I recently bought a 1999 C4 cab and have 2 annoying problems I hope somebody could help me with. Firstly, the soft top goes down when the dash mounted button is pressed but wont go back up unless the button on the key is pressed. The red warning button lights up on the dash when the dash mounted button is pressed. Secondly, I had the top down this morning when I switched the lights on which immediately resulted in head light failure. The parking lights still work, as does the high beam lights. Normal driving lights are not working though. I checked all fuses and they seem in order. Can somebody please advise? Thanks very much Etienne

POST 2Original post

First thing I would check is the ignition switch....try to wiggle the key in the switch and see if the lights change...

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Thanks Statman I'll do so today. Strangely enough, had the same advice on another forum. Take care Etienne
