Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

As I park my 996 outside, getting into it these frosty mornings is like jumping into the North Sea. Basically, you have about 3 minutes to live without assistance.
Never thought I would consider heated seats so high in my list for future TT purchase reasons but the car is a lethal weapon without them. And this from a long standing Elise owner!
Totally agree, I froze my butt off today :blue:
I almost switched to the Landie with its heated seats, screen, etc., etc. But then I thought nah, better to have a cold ar$e and a smile on my face than a warm ar$e and a scowl
Clive
I used the heated seats today too
Partly also bcos the car was in the garage so it didn't need defrosting
Same again for tomorrow by the look of things outside :!:
its pathetic really, cant believe how age is affecting me. Would have snorted with derision a couple of years back in my Elise at the idea of heated seats. Now Ive got em I wouldnt buy another leather seated car without them.
Yeah I know the feeling, unless its raining I often have the sun roof open, even as recently as 2 nights ago with the cold snap to hear the noise!
No heated seats for me on my early model
However, despite living in London, Im from North Yorkshire, and went to a victorian-built boarding school up on the freezing Yorkshire Dales with no central heating and wooden floors etc, so I can handle quite a lot of cold, unlike the southern pansies! joke!
My secret for having sunroof open in winter etc? A Large Russian Fur hat with flaps (called a
Ushanka
) which I picked up in St Petersburg, keeps my head VERY warm with sunroof open!
I must be in a minority, I have heated seats but it's an option that is never ever used, then again my climate rarely strays from 18 degrees and I don't own a coat either so that might explain why.
Straying from the topic I've been very impressed with the 996 in the snow this morning. I feared it would become a giant sled but I guess even with the enormous tyres having the engine over the rear wheels makes a significant difference.
Have to be honest this 'old farts' thread struck a cord with me. My good lady borrowed my work barge (X5) last week for a couple of days leaving me with her mini cooper. The X5 despite having t.v, computers for this and that complete with a sideboard doesn't have heated seats, whereas the wifes mini does....and this week don't I know it!
yep guys...heated seats is the future..!
