Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Been away over Christmas and the car's, C2S, been layed up in the garage. Came back key would not open the door, I guess that was to be expected, followed the procedure to "wake" the think up, then put the key in the ignition and all manner of messages appeared, PSM failure, Lights failure, TPC etc, etc. Again followed the procedure and all is back as it should be. One unexpected observation though! my car has Xenon's and the obigatory headlight washing system. The drivers side washing pilar, the dispenser, was raised. After the wake-up its back to its normal position but why would it be raised if the battery was weakened during its "rest"? Any ideas?

POST 2Original post

With the dash lighting up I'd say it's the battery. Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

POST 3Original post

Low battery can cause a lot of weird things to happen like the windows going up/down by themselves. Add headlight washer to the list now I guess. Is the car on a battery tender? If not, maybe you should look into getting one. It's good insurance.

POST 4Original post

I have a battery tender but did not use it, was only in the garage for 9 days! You're right, its good insurance. Silly post I guess just was surprised to see the right pillar fully raised and wondered what the link to battery exhaustion might have been!! I figured the pilar was raised by water preasure. Odd though, now I'm obsessed with the height of the pillars!! Each time I use the car it’s something I can't help but look at and compare each side! Should wear of soon I hope!! Ha!! Happy New Year

POST 5Original post

When my battery died the driverside window rolled itself 1/4 of the way down and the passenger side headlight started doing some flashing all on it's own. The battery was done. Replaced the battery and everything went back to normal. I had a PSM light on initial start-up, but that cleared as soon as I started driving the car.
