One year is fast arriving, having done about 6K since the last (minor) service and with the mileage pondering around the 68k mark, Im wondering if it is worthwhile getting the annual maintenance done from OPC.... as far as I can tell, its only a series of "checks" which Im sure they'll use to try and fleece me one way or another.... Current service stamps are all OPC, with non-service related work carried out at Indy.... dont want to lose out on the "service stamp value" for the sake of the "check" but doesn't really look worthwhile to be (MoT will be due shorty after, which Im sure will cover more points then this check) Any views on what to do? :?: Cheers.

model year 2004 cars are due an OPC service every 12k or every 2 years (which ever comes 1st) so officially not needed but I still get an annual oil /air filter change every 6k.....

I read this post with interest as I have heard not exactly conflicting but differing information regarding servicing. I have a Jan 2004 C4S which, since its last service in March, has covered no more than 2000 miles. I know, I know, I should take it out more. From one of the replies I take it as the car is a 2004 model then it falls into the 12k or two year bracket. I'm not averse to paying if it is needed however there is no point in having work done if its not actually required. Roll on spring. I promise, promise to take it out more...... :thumbs:

Regarding the annual check that OPC's offer (this is one below the minor service), a well respected ex-OPC mechanic once told me its a waste of time and not worth doing. I only do 4k p.a. in my MY2000 car. If you dont do many miles, how about doing two minor services, then a major? Shows you care about the car and repalce the essentials, keep the OPC stamp, but you also dont spend money unnecessarily.
