Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

In the end I found the right turbo for me - took nearly 3 months from when I first contacted the previous to getting the keys - prices changed quite a bit in that time and in the end I paid a slight premium for the car.

These are separate views of the same evidence. Frequency alone does not establish a fix, and these counts must not be added together.

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

I agree the first one is cheap, but I also think the second is over priced.
We all know that in this climate, some people are unfortunately forced to sell their cars and this is reflected in the price.
Not sure in this case, it could also be a Cat D, an import or require a major service, new tyres, new brakes etc.
I see a big problem with older 996tt's in a year or so.
As prices have tumbled they have become affordable for a much wider market. For sure you can pick them up for the £30k mark but the servicing costs (indy or not) are still that of a £100k supercar. Therefore I am of the opinion that many new owners may not keep the car serviced to the standard required. I think that there will be a lot of dogs out the in a year or two and a full service history with records of all work done will be essential.
I agree with Dave, but not just on the 996 Turbo. As all Porsche models become too affordable I fear they are being bought by people who can just about afford the car and are in for some shocks. I see this on higher mileage 997's which yeah can be bought for early £30K's due major service, brakes, tyres etc with people not realising their first bill might be £3K.
In 1 to 3 years there will be a lot of dogs out there.
I agree that there are some cheap priced turbo's out there ... having spent 9 months looking at various ads there are good cars and bad cars out there. In the end I found the right turbo for me - took nearly 3 months from when I first contacted the previous to getting the keys - prices changed quite a bit in that time and in the end I paid a slight premium for the car.
So what I'm trying to say is that yes I agree there are cheap cars out there for aspirational owners and similarly cars that will command a premium.
Cheap or expensive lets not forget these cars really are a wonderful piece of engineering.
Rich.
9 months looking.......blimey, I would have got a bit restless in that time
the '03 is very cheap......does look clean as well. A great, great, great car but this residual thing is dissapointing (i don't think there is an emoticon for deep sigh and wistful thought?)
I can only console myself with the thought that Pork is faring relatively better than some other marques.
A mate of mine has a 997TT with less than 10k on the clock- cars perfect as new yet OPC offered him only 50k for a trade in, that's ca cheap car!!!!
