Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Im trying to track down a parasitic drain issue for some time. I replaced the stereo a few days ago and found a Trimble GPS antenna located under the alarm LED light cover on the dash. The wire goes to the right side of the dash but I cant seem to find where it terminates. Google search says Trimble is a GPS asset tracking company. Its a ROW 996 purchase in Germany. Any ideas where to look to try to find this? Thanks

It has to be somewhere accessible since they won't take the car apart to install it. I would look behind the glove box or under the right footwell carpet It has to be somewhere thet power is easily available as im sure they would just use a wire tap and not run a circuit from the fuse box. It's funny, I've found a few of these things in police cars when installing new radios. The IAD folks almost always made a hash of it and screwed up the comms power making us tear into the cartwo find why the radio quit working.

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
