Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, just recently when ive been unlocking my car the central locking dooesn't work. Its only happened twice in the last couple of weeks but both times it was on the drive and its not a problem locking it or unlocking it when i get to my destination. Whats the limit as to when the fob turns off? Cheers guys Chris

POST 2Original post

It goes in to sleep mode after 5 days, after which you have to unlock it with the key. Does that match the timescale of these two events?

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

hmm, thinking about it possibly. i will have to keep an eye on it and see if it does it again.

POST 4Original post

Yes, unlock it with the key but don't open the door or the alarm will sound (horrible if you're in your garage at the time). Re-lock it using the remote and then unlock again using remote. Catches me out often enough. Regards

POST 5 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I did make that mistake last year when my car was sat around for a couple of weeks. Just a bit loud [ ].
