I plan on cleaning the vehicle up, gathering as much information on the service history and upgrades on the car, taking pictures and listing to BAT auctions.

Hello all, I suppose it was not my time to join the Porsche community just yet. I recently acquired a non-running 2006 Cayman S , 6 speed manual, with 106,xxx miles. I put a new battery, starter and starter relay into the car to find the motor is seized. The vehicle has Porsche service history as recent as 102xxx miles for normal maintenance items, new tires, new rear pads/rotors/sensors/fluid, oil change, cabin & air filters, all 4 wheels refinished etc. The vehicle appears to have upgraded exhaust, upgraded suspension, 19” Turbo wheels with new Continentals around and an aftermarket stereo screen. I plan on cleaning the vehicle up, gathering as much information on the service history and upgrades on the car, taking pictures and listing to BAT auctions. The car has a clean Arizona title with no branding and is located in Phoenix, AZ near downtown. Cross posting around the forums to get the word out for interested parties. Looks like a solid rolling chassis for a track build especially with suspension already done. Is the BaT listing fee refundable? I doubt BaT will take the car... back in the day when they were new they lived up to their name of needing a trailer for the projects they auctioned but nowadays they seem to only deal with mint condition cars. Regardless... best of luck with the sale!

Your write-up says a Cayman S , but the VIN analytics say BASE. Which is it?

Maybe you have done this but have you put a wrench on the nut for the crankshaft pulley at the front of the engine and tried to rotate the engine? With the transmission in neutral.

Pretty sure the Cayman only came as an S in 2006. At least as I recall. I could be wrong.

I'm closing this thread. The original poster dropped that one post and hasn't been seen since. And the thread seems to be devolving into a sell/buy thread and we have a specific place for that.
