Anyway, I have water leaking via the sunroof and took it to an independent Porsche specialist who took the headlining down and blew the leak tubes through and also fitted a new main sunroof seal but that has not done the trick so I took it to a sunroof centre and they say the drip tray is missing.

Also maybe worth a try getting someone to run a hosepipe over the car whilst your inside to get a better idea of the leak location.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi ladies and gents, I am a new owner of a 996 C4 millenium and have had several problems and am so fed up that I don't know why I bothered, I have had one thing after the other go wrong.# Anyway, I have water leaking via the sunroof and took it to an independent Porsche specialist who took the headlining down and blew the leak tubes through and also fitted a new main sunroof seal but that has not done the trick so I took it to a sunroof centre and they say the drip tray is missing. I don't understand how a drip tray could go "missing" and thought that the drip tubes were connected to this drip tray ?. I am totally confused, tired of this car and of even the word Porsche as my dream has become a nightmare. Porsce have said this drip tray is not available as a single part and is only as a kit at £700. Can ANYONE shed light on this and give any helpful advice ?. This car looks lovely but I have spent £3000 on top of my purchase price and still it goes on. I feel like burning the thing to be honest. Thanks in advance. I am not a wealthy guy and saved 15 years for this and feel VERY stupid. :nooo:  Jools

hi joolspirog, Good choice in car....what number is she? My Millenium is no. 98... When you open (tilt) the sunroof there is a flap (at the rear of the opening)- do you have the rubber trim on this piece? might not make too much sense reading it, but it will when you have a look. Also maybe worth a try getting someone to run a hosepipe over the car whilst your inside to get a better idea of the leak location. Hope this helps.
