Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi all, I have a very slight leak out of my offside radiator. Does anyone have experience of using Radweld for radiator leaks in Porsches? In theory it could be a good solution but I am nervous of using anything that could adversely affect my precious engine! Thanks

POST 2Original post

i wouldn't dare but did have good results in a Skoda five years ago using Barrs for a suspected head gasket weep.

POST 3Original post

I agree. I wouldn't mess around with Radweld in your car.

POST 4Original post

The rads are a weak spot on the 996 and need replacing sooner or later anyway. I'd change and at the same time do the mesh grill mod for future protection. Like others have said wouldn't use radweld or the like.
