I have a dull knock on the near side front of the car. It is not evident in a straight line only when turning right and not left. It is a single knock not a series of. The car is a 996, C4s, MY 2002. At the point of turning when the load weight on the front shifts to the near side front wheel there is a single knock/clunk. I haven't noticed it at speed, say 30mph + only slower speeds. Its very evident braking into a roundabout but also happens when not braking. I have removed the wheel cleaned the mating faces of the disk/wheel and refitted. It ain't that. I have my suspicions but I'm looking for second opinion.

Trouble is with expensive sports cars is they have a tendency to make us paranoid. My initial thought is tyre pressures or types, if incorrect they can cause a skip on one side thus making things clonk slightly. I would firstly do these things: Check front tyres for even wear. Check tyre pressures Check wheel bearings - jack up, rock wheel from side to side and top to bottom to find any play. Check front drive train for play. Check for any play in front shocks / top bearings by bouncing front of car. Get tracking & castor camber checked. The fault must be with one of the above IMO
