Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Im generally very conservative when it comes to cosmetic alterations but came across these and thought they looked pretty good. There are pics of a set on the headlights of a turbo and 996 on the Techart site. (see below) Annoyingly I cant link directly to the photos but navigate from the link below and choose "tuning" from the "programme" menu at the top. Pics of a 996 and a 996 turbo under their respective links showing black cars with the covers fitted. Turbo is probably the better link as its a less modified car otherwise. http://www.techart.de/homed_gesamt.htm Wondering if anyone had fitted them and had some pics/impressions etc. And of course all opinions welcome PS. Presumably as the healight units are removeable someone has masked and sprayed the lenses in this sort of fashion?? Would surely make a for a perfectly flush version?

POST 2Original post

Each to their own, but on a black Turbo it doesn't look too bad actually. ~ Maxie

POST 3Original post

Each to their own, but would these look like the covers people with 15yr old Golf GTI's put on their lights to make them appear a different shape? It might be worth viewing some of those.

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

My concern is exactly like Wagonface's. Might look at bit chavved up close up. Also doubt Mr GTI is paying a quarter of what Techart are looking. Have to say tho, they do look well and quite discreet. Much more so than many of the cars on Techart's site which are just too much bodykit for my liking. Can't help imagining that a good pro masking and spraying a healight unit could produce a near perfectly flush finish. Might even be removeable if a mindchange or sale was considered.
