Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

12 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 evidence records excluded for query context · 0 excluded by outcome qualification · 0 adjusted by outcome qualification.

3 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

Outcome without a verified action link

I had a PAYG sim in the car and a speed dial to divert my normal phone over and it worked fine.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I have an 02 plate 996 with the original satnv phone unit. Is anyone still using this unit for calls, and has anyone managed to get it fired up on Orange? any advice greatly received.

POST 2Original post

If it's PCM1 (which I think it will be) I'm afraid it only now works with Vodafone. Used to work with Cellnet, but I think someone said it doesn't work with O2.

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

SATNAV PHONE Thanks, that makes sense as the available networks were vodaphone and BTCellnet, but wasnt sure whether that was from the previous owner. Will go and get a Vodaphone sim card and see if there is any success. I just like things to be authentic and functioning. Thanks again

POST 4Original post

PCM1 does support O2. I was using my phone daily up until a couple of months ago. I had a PAYG sim in the car and a speed dial to divert my normal phone over and it worked fine.

POST 5Original post

Dealer may need to update the PCM software.. as Voda, BTCellnet and O2 all work on 900mhz, the GSM aerial is probably not dualband so it wont work with Tmobile,Orange

POST 6Original post

Problem solved I've been trying to figure out why my phone doesn't work for weeks. I only got my 911 in May. I joined this forum this morning and now the problem is solved with a Vodaphone sim card. Thanks.

POST 7Original post

i cant get my paygo 02 card to work. dont think im clever enough. misses can phone the car and i can here her, but she cant here me. cant dial out either. help ! :bonk:

POST 8Original post

Well the SIM is working otherwise the missus wouldn't be able to call you. So therefore has to be one of the settings on the PCM1. Whereabouts are you?

POST 9Original post

I have an o2 payg in my 02 996 and it is fine. I divert my phone and receive calls no problem.
