Read evidence and context
Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

0 original-poster resolution reports. Counts can overlap; they are not unique people or a success rate.
0 discussions have direct query context; 0 report a fix in that context. Other evidence may inherit the discussion’s subject.
Suggestion
I only ask as I'm not sure I whether I'd actually make any use of the off/quiet mode.
Leading evidence: 'Use of the off/quiet mode' (no explicit attributable resolution; this is a reported action or suggestion). Across 1 matching discussions, The most frequently discussed action is 'Use of the off/quiet mode' (1 discussions). For that action, 0 discussions report a resolution and 0 report an unsuccessful attempt. No action has an explicit, attributable resolution report under the current rules. These are forum reports and suggestions, not a confirmed diagnosis.
Source reports, not a diagnosis or a success probability. Counts refer to discussions and can overlap.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

anyone interested in a group buy for switchable PSE? OPC stratford and colchester have said £1700 and reckon if few were interested we could shave that a mite. I've posted similar on PH to see if we can raise a bit of interest.
I could be interested 'cos my car came from the East London Centre and if I had PSE installed I would definitely go through an OPC so that the switch looked like the factory fit one. But it depends on timing - finances are a bit tight at the moment.
Also, I know it would be a bit a journey for you, but I think I am correct in saying that OPC Tonbridge give 10% discount for PCGB members

Im sure OPC East London/ Stratford was doing the offer for £1200 all in.
It might be worth giving them another call and ask if there are willing to do it for that price. With the current fiancial situation £1200 is not bad amount to help balance their books.
Ive been tempted to get the PSE upgrade, but for that price you could get a decent aftermarket upgrade, rear tyres and a a few trackdays...
I love the noise, especially when you hit 3,500+ rpm but they just make my missus' ears bleed, so at first, i first told her to stop her moaning and to get the bus instead if they bothered her but i dont think she liked that very much! :wack:
I have been trying to find out if muffler bypass' would be ok for MOT but i have never really found out. Does anyone know if they would be ok or would it instantly fail?
I may also be interested, if the price was right.
I've also got a question on the PSE and not installing the switch, would this mean that they are permantly open i.e. in loud mode. I only ask as I'm not sure I whether I'd actually make any use of the off/quiet mode.
Thanks,
Simon
PSE group buy prices!
OK chaps, if we can get six people to commit, best price I can get is £1450 fitted for 996 or £1350 for 997. This is with OPC Colchester. List price is over £2k. 8)
Apparently makes little or no difference to cost if made non switchable so why bother.
Give it some thought and if still interested please flag it here and drop me a mail at

. I will give it till next week - back from Ring on Monday - and once I have final numbers – this is up on PH and 911uk - I will double confirm prices (maybe little more if we can't get six). Once go ahead agreed will probably leave it to individuals to arrange fit with Porsche Colchester.
Cheers
yup.
will obviously get chapter and verse agreement from them cos only phone calls to date but that's what we agreed. need numbers now at that price and i will of course flag up any questions anyone might have when i go back to OPC with numbers. Good work for them at almost a day to fit each one so keeps those expensive porsche trained mechanics busy in these lean times!
