Hi all I'm been discussing tyre pressures and seems to be different opinions for the same rims. I'm running 225/40 R18 on the front and 265/35 R18 on the rear. The book says 36 psi on the front and 44 psi on the rear for normal road use. A friend runs them on slighttly lower pressures. What do you all you use, those of you running 18" rims? Thanks Andy

Hi Andy, Welcome to the Forum. :thumbs: I run 35 on the front and 42 on the rear (295/30/18 ). The ride is slightlty softer i fell at these levels, due to all the canyons in todays roads!!! :x Try playing around with the tire pressures. But keep within limits of around 10% of the recommended psi. Others should be able to correct me on the % tolerances.

Run mine 2 psi under for a softer ride have 225 40 18 front...34psi have 285 30 18 rear slightly wider on the rear as it gives a bit more protection against kerbing...42 psi. You should not vary the pressures by more than 10/15%. Play around and see what best suits the roads you drive on and your driving style :thumb: TB

I have 235/40R18s on the front at 32psi cold and 295/30R18s on the rear at 39, which is what the book says for the GT3 (this is Michelin PS2s, different tyres may need more pressure if they don't have as strong sidewalls in theory). I run them a pound or two lighter (hot) on track and that seems to work well for me.
