Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1Original post

<p class="MsoNormal" style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">So far I have seen at least two reviews (Automobile and one I don’t remember) that gushed over the “good looks” and “beauty” of the upcoming BMW Z4 coupe. I know that looks are in the eye of the beholder but not this eye even if it does have 330 hp.

POST 2Original post

The Z4 started the flame surfacing trend at BMW, which has been met with universal disdain. BMW chose to show the Z4 coupe with a non-reflective paint normally used on BMW motor cycles. This flat paint plays down the flame surfacing, which is why there was the surprisingly positive reaction to the Z4 coupe in Frankfurt. BMW is working out the details on this paint job, to determine if it would actually survive on a car for very long. If it does BMW intends to offer it as a unique-to-the-M-Class paint - read it will cost extra if they offer it in the Z4 Coupe. BMW is also going to refresh the Z4, so some of the flame surfacing could actually go away by mid 2006. Just like they re-freshened the 7 series, given it more of an Audi 6 and 8 series rear [trying to play-down the Bangle-butt], we might expect BMW to do the same with the Z4. Z4 sales have been flat for a couple of years now. Let's see, how do you polish a flat paint? Edited by - mpollard on 11/11/2005 8:05:04 PM

POST 3Original post

Well as the saying goes if you can't say anything good, best to say nothing at all. The magazines can't survive doing that! Agree with mpollard, summed it up completely. The refreshed 7 is the easiest on the eye of the bangled bimmers, which is a backhanded compliment at best.
