Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

I just learned that my Cayman was completed last week. How long will it take to get to the U.S. (Maryland)... Pack, Ship, PDI, Delivery?

POST 2Original post

Approximately 30 days to the dealership in U.S.from time of production finish at the factory. Did you get the VIN #? Does it have a 'U' or 'S' in it?

POST 3Original post

When I was at the dealer last week they had the schedule of when ships leave from the port in Europe. If I remember correctly, there is a ship leaving in mid and then again in late November. It was suggested to me that with a November 21 completion date, mine may make the late November, but more likely the December 10 ship. Each trip to the port on the West Coast takes about 20 days. FYI, my dealer told me today that once the car is loaded on the ship, he will give me website from which I will be able to track the journey until deliver to dealer. I tried to talk him into test drive of show car but he says their policy now is not to allow any.....oh well will keep trying.

POST 7Original post

Hi Guys, My dealer just called to tell me that my Cayman S was built yesterday !!!! VIN indicates that it was built in Finland and was the 923 rd Cayman built. Should be in port in Brunswick, Geogia before the end of the year, where it will stay until closer to January 15, the release date. I can't wait !!!

POST 8Original post

You will be driving yours while mine is on the water. I just hope the December builds will arrive here by the end of January. Mine could take a little longer because I do not think they will ship direct to Hawaii? Aloha Russ

POST 9Original post

Decisions, decisions... found out today that mine will be completed on 11/28. Unfortunately, I have to be overseas forabout 4weeks in either January or February, my choice. Should I travel from Jan 3 to Jan 28 or from Feb 3 to Feb 28th? What do I do?/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/MWPX/help.gif I live in Dallas if that makes any difference.

POST 10Original post

My 2006 Carrera S was built on 9/17. I picked it up at the dealer on 10/27. Hopefully porsche dealers will release the car to you before the January official launch date.
