Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

6 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Regards, I have had to fill my hydraulics for the soft top a couple times. I went to the local Porsche deal and attempted to purchase the screw/bolt and get some copper washers. they do not have these parts listed in PET fo a 2000 c2 cabrio. Would one of you be kind enough to fuill me in on how to get at least the correct washer for this? many thanks! Rick Ross

POST 2Original post

Either use the old one or order a new one. Check you top cylinders for signs of leakage

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

The problem was that pet does not list a part# for the washer (or the bolt/plug for that matter) and the old washer was spent, the system would not hold fluid. I measured it and its 14x10x1mm if that helps anyone. How can you check the system under pressure since in service mode? I did look for signs of leakage and found none except at the fill. Thank you again! Rick

POST 4Original post

Its been a while since I ve to replace or repair that system but this part number 996 561 573 00 contains the banjo bolts, washers and drain plug and seals . Any good porsche parts dealer person should be able to get it or match the seal for the plug. The top rams leak, hose to and from the rams leak and the pump holding tank on the bottom of the pump. If you have a leak it will be oily and dirty and the top function will be noisey. Hopefully you can catch it before the top pump gets to noisey or goes out. good luck

POST 5Original post

If that doesnt work Kit 980 355 471 00 for the Carrera GT spoiler will. I use to be a porsche tech and a former parts and tech guy at Pelican and they wont hire me back!

POST 6Original post

These are 10mm Copper Crush Rings or Seals used in lots of applications especially for fuel. Our host should have them. About $1ea. If they don't, I have them in stock as well as the Banjo Bolts as in the photo above. Len at Autosportengineering dot com
