As my waranty runs out next week, and I don't think I can renew it as its 9years & 1month old (I may be wrong) I was wondering is there a huge difference in quality from using a EIS or Hella part?

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Hi guys, I am in the need for some advice...my car needs new air con condensors - and as its getting the front PU resprayed, its as good time as any. As my waranty runs out next week, and I don't think I can renew it as its 9years & 1month old (I may be wrong) I was wondering is there a huge difference in quality from using a EIS or Hella part? do they fit okay? will they last as long as Porsche parts etc? I understand Behr make the Porsche ones but have done several google searches and haven't found any. Any help or information wwould be appreciated. thanks. Car is Nov '99 996 C4

POST 2Original post

1) I thought these were covered under the warranty? (apart from if stones have punched a whole in them). If so, get your car booked in before the warranty expires. 2) I think you can buy the new warranty. Do a search on here and read the warranty threads before you ask loads of questions about the new warranty - its been covered to death on here already, so lots of info available. Good luck

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Last time it went into the OPC, they told me they wern't covered under waranty as the condensors have corroded (sp?) due to leaves etc... hence the reason for doing my research. As for the warranty...not sure if she'll pass but wanted to change the condensors at my choice of garage rather than have the OPC hand me a bill before giving me the new waranty (if everything else is okay).

POST 4 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone here changed their condensors? Which make did you go for? thanks, Adit.

POST 5Original post
