My dealer just called me from Jacksonville FL. He is driving the car as I speak. So they are here to see! He said the car is more than everyone is expecting.

Is he driving one sent to his dealership or one of the ones in Atlanta? Porsche was not able to deliver all of the cars to Atlanta on time for the event but there are other events coming up like the one in California so there are cars on US soil.
Just joined the club, seems like a great group! Like all of you I can't wait.

Unfortunately our dealer vehicle isn't even on the water, to Hawaii that is. I am sure we will probably be the last state to get theirs. So in the meantime I will have to rely on everyone elses opinion.

Just picked up the new Cayman factory sales brochere that came in today at my local dealer (Inskip Porsche - Warwick, RI). I was told that they will have a car on the lot within two weeks.

Talked with dealer today (Calif) and he told me they will have a car by Thanksgiving on the lot. No driving of it though. Also told me he would be at Calif. Speedway for salesman orientation so am trying to find what day and maybe drop by for first look.....
My dealer just told me that they will get their car the first week of December! It will be a company car, owned by Porsche, no driving at all! Also it will be kept under a cover with VIP showings.

Ha ha! I guess you could say that! I just can't see them turning away customers who want to take a look. He says that the idea is to keep it under the cover till the launch day!

I am just afraid I won't want to leave the showroom. Wifey will wonder what the heck happened to me! After talking with my dealer tonight I am really thrilled. He could not find one thing wrong with the Cayman, and he is a straight up guy. Well you keep calm, I'm going to bed so I can go into la la cayman land!

I will check out Edmunds then I need to find some neww magazine I haven't already read! I am waiting for the new December Excellence to hit the stands here.

I did see the dealer cost in Edmunds at $51,390, and someone said that they also make 15 or 20% on options which I do believe. They are making big bucks on these puppies!

Good point, You can actually go to Edmunds put your options in and price out and see list and cost. I want to open a Porsce store!!! It's a better gig than Harley Davidson or Peterbuilt.
