As such I couldn't use the brakes to stop the shafts turning when undoing the inner CV bolts, but it was fine just holding them with a breaker bar.

I have just received my rings from https://www.reluctorrings.com/cars/porsche . The operate on a batch process so expect to wait a few weeks for them to arrive. Let me know how you get on with removing the front drive shafts, I have that "fun" activity to look forward to

Was it fairly straightforward to do? my worry is rusted on bolts. I have a lobg breaker bar for the axel nuts so that should be ok. Did you do it on axel stands or do you have a car lift?

Mine was done on a lift. I hadn't planned to remove the driveshafts, just the uprights, so I had loosened the big centre nut before stripping the brakes off. As such I couldn't use the brakes to stop the shafts turning when undoing the inner CV bolts, but it was fine just holding them with a breaker bar. The bolts were not crazy tight and not corroded. MC

Thanks for the advice. It's job worth doing. A new axel from porsche is around £1k!
