Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

It rattled it off no bother so I rattled it back on with the gun on setting 2.

The torque setting on an impact wrench is 2 dugga duggas.

When I've undone / tightened mine I just use an aluminium tube I have that's about 4ft long.
Use breaker bar, you could buy a torque multiplier

If you don't like applying the torque using a breaker bar, you could buy a torque multiplier.

Suggestion
The ones for lorry wheel lugs are generally under £40 and make life a lot easier plus you can use a torque wrench of lower value due to the torque multiplication.
Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

About to swap out some hubs on the C4 and the hub nuts need to be torqued to 340lb/ft! The only torque wrenches I've seen capable of that are the kind the military an truck mechanics use.
Are my maths correct to calculate how long a pole I would need with my weight on the end to achieve 340lb/ft at the hub.
I weigh 144lb so 340/144=2.36
i.e If I stand 2.36' (28.3") out on the pole I'm creating 340lb/ft at the hub?
When I've undone / tightened mine I just use an aluminium tube I have that's about 4ft long. They've never been hard to undo and they've never come undone either. I've never understood why that figure is so high.
Biggest issue I had was getting the damn things undone, i was afraid of slipping off the nut etc swinging on a 4ft scaffold tube slipped over a breaker bar. In the end I borrowed a mates snap on impact gun who is a lorry mechanic. impressive bit of battery powered kit and had the nut off in two hits. I did retighten with the bar though.
I used a DeWALT DCF899 rattle gun. It has 3 settings with the max one being 950nm for undoing. It rattled it off no bother so I rattled it back on with the gun on setting 2.
That was 2 years ago and the wheels haven't fallen off yet.
I did mine up until the breaker bar looked like it was going to bend, I will have another go on them after putting some miles on it to make sure they are done up nice and tight still.
If you actually want to measure the torque you are applying, you can buy digital torque meters that fit to your breaker bars that do a reasonable job.
I bought the 1.5-1000Nm one off Amazon for around £45 and it seems to work fine.

Where I work we dispose of the BIG torque wrenches on a regular basis and buy new ones, it's cheaper than getting them re-calibrated apparently.
So managed to get a suitable one FOC last time we had a clear out, came in handy for the front shaft nuts on the 996 recently.
