Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

3 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

I,m new to this list, been a 951 owner for 20 yrs. and on that list for some yrs. recently added a 2002 C4S. both rear lower control arms are bent, probably a flat bed tow co. - prior owner. old part 996.331.245.10 new part 997.331.045.04 seem to be the same. anyone have experience with TRW parts, good or bad? they are ~ 1/2 the price as the Porsche part. is it a good deal or " you get what you pay for"? Barry

POST 3 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Seem's TRW hasn't produced this in a while and all distributors are out of stock. I need to get this car on the road to shake down any other issues before Rennsport, so I'm installing the Porsche control arms at $205 ea. TRW ~ $105 ea. Barry
