Explicit resolution reports before identified causes, performed actions and suggestions. Within each level, matching component labels precede direct query mentions and inherited thread context; successful versus unsuccessful discussion counts, owner confirmations and independent discussion support determine order. This is not a probability of success.

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

2 eligible posts · 0 unverified posts · 1 discussions match the subject in their title or opening post.

0 acknowledgements have no verified action link; they do not establish a repair result.

POST 1 / ORIGINAL POSTEROriginal post

Has anyone encountered this? Whilst driving along, intermittently both windows will open fully, and the interior lights come on. The windows drop down completely - so it's not the hood micro switch. Car has been out in the rain, and the interior is steaming up a lot, but I'm not sure where to start if it's water damage... I've looked at the ignition switch threads and none of them describe this as a symptom and the key feels fine. Any thoughts would be helpful - my partner took it out the other day and nearly lost a load of helium balloons because of it! Thanks to all.

POST 2Original post

Check for moisture under the seats, the security system lives down there. You should also open the top up about 4", and then look under the clamshell to make sure the drains are not blocked. -james
