I have not noticed and vibration on mine .Will have to check on that when I get off work.I believe the 2.7 does not use asbestos Brake pads like the CS Does that is why there can sometimes be little vibration(I think I read that in this forum somewhere) Also we do not refer to our 2.7 Liter Monsters as a Base Cayman. Most of us have chosen the 2.7 due to the fact that is Uses less fuel and has cleaner Emissions than the CS..

Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

When I depress the clutch to the floor to shift I sometimes but not all the time feel a "vibration" at the poiint where the clutch disengages. If I keep my foot depressed the vibration goes away. It almost "tickles" (don't laugh) the bottom of my foot. In the old days I would of thought of it as a throw out bearing feel. But can one feel the throwout bearing and pressure plate in a hydrolic clutch? Only have 300 miles (new 2007) and it is a 2.7 so no slave or pressure plate bolt problems. It shifts fine ,catches fine, and is great to drive. I am just wondering if this is normal on the 2.7 cayman.

POST 2Original post

yes its normal, just about every Porsche i test drive, turbo,997 and 987 they all have a little vibration at towards the bottom of the pedal for a second then goes away, the vibration is more apparent upon faster acceleration though

POST 3Original post

123, Sounds normal to me too -- I've got 6000 miles on 2.7, and it's ever so slightly more pronounced if you install pedals.

POST 6Original post

No vibration on my 2008 (2100 mile) 2.7. I have been driving autos for a few years but the clutch on my Cayman is really smooth.

POST 7Original post

I noticed this on my old (2005) Boxster when accelerating. I do not notice it on my Cayman (2007).

POST 8Original post

Well I feel exactly this in my Cayman S, the higher rpms the more I can feel it. when I chenage gears below 4000 rpms I dont feel this. Hope is normal.
