Coverage and how to read this overview

Counts describe captured discussions, not unique people or a diagnosis. Author identities are not reliably stored. Exact duplicate evidence is counted once across matching discussions; one discussion counts at most once per action/state. Multiple repairs reported together remain a combination. Suggestions and failed attempts do not establish a fix. Matches cover whole discussions and can include related faults, model variants and incomplete threads.

POST 1Original post

Hi All, I replaced my CDR24 with a MOST converter, direct replacement harness, and Alpine ILX-107 from Crutchfield about a month ago. I have to say that I’m underwhelmed to the point where I’m considering taking it out and putting the CDR24 back. The CarPlay functionality with my XS is annoying at best. Based on web searches it would seem to be a general issue with CarPlay and not just my integration. Issues include the screen going blank when switching from Spotify and my XM app and vice versa. I’m also not sure if it’s just my install but the volume seems to max out lower than what I’d expect. It is nowhere near as load as the CDR24 and the last few volume increments don’t seem to have any impact on the actual volume. Anyone else experience anything similar? At this point I’m willing to give up Spotify and XM to get the better sound quality of the CDR24. Thanks! Scott

POST 2Original post

Does your adapter ask you to set the baseline volume before unhooking the old radio? Are all of the speakers working? Did you solder the wires or use crimp connectors (or twist and black tape)? Not knowing which fuse you jumped off for the switched power, or if you tied into the CANBUS - it could be the equipment, it could be a faulty component, or it could be a detail on your install...

POST 3Original post

Not directly related, but I installed a Pioneer NEX unit and Axxess interface last week, and the sound volume is perfectly adequate. Do you have the Bose system with the MOST fiber connections?

This is a source reference. Confirm exact model applicability in the original material.
